Class Levels and Descriptions

Tiny 1
Ages 2-4

Introduces basic dance steps, including ballet technique and terminology, while inspiring creativity and movement exploration. Our Tiny Dancers classes welcome the imagination of our youngest dancers!

Fundamentals of Dance 1
Ages 5-8

Classes include ballet, tap, and jazz. The focus of this level is to introduce young dancers to the three styles of dance while inspiring movement & creativity. All of our Fundamental classes are structured to engage young dancer’s minds & bodies; keeping our students excited, engaged, and focused. Taking what they developed in Tiny 1&2 they will expand further on their knowledge and continue to grow in their craft.

Advanced Technique
15+

Advanced level classes allow our more experienced dancers an opportunity to increase strength, endurance, and stamina. Understanding of movement goals, imagery, and presentation are stressed as well as the ability to link more complex steps together in a fluid manner. Friendly and supportive atmosphere encourages dancers to push beyond thier comfot zone as they grow physically and mentally. Level classes are cast in one choreographed routine in recital unless otherwise specified.

Competition Classes
7-18

Our Competition team classes are comprised of students who audition and are selected for their spot. Dancers who choose to be in one or more of these classes commit to the requirements outlined for them by their contract. This audition-based track of study always dancers to participates in 3 National Competition Tours each spring as well as a National Convention each fall.  For more detailed information about these classes and joining the competition team please see our Competition tab or reach out to us!

Tiny 1
Ages 2-4

Introduces basic dance steps, including ballet technique and terminology, while inspiring creativity and movement exploration. Our Tiny Dancers classes welcome the imagination of our youngest dancers!

Fundamentals of Dance 2
Ages 8-11

Classes include a continuation of ballet, tap, and jazz. The focus of this level is to continue to build on the foundation that was built in Fundamentals 1 and strengthen the technique,  movement & creativity. Fundamentals 2 progressively challenges dancers to increase & apply new dance techniques while solidifying their understanding of previous steps.

Competition Core
7-18

For students who are seeking a more pre-professional classroom setting. Extra emphasis is placed on mastering technique and achieving goals at a higher difficulty level. Competition members will be required to take a Comp Core Class to continue their technique outside of their competition rehearsals.  Comp Core Classes are open to any level added dancers even if their wish to not compete. 

Tiny 2
Ages 4-5

Builds on the lessons of Tiny 1 through basically ballet technique and terminology while expanding the curriculum to motivate and excite our dancers as they grow! We encourage exploration and the chance for these dancers to begin to understand concepts of rhythm, spacial awareness, directional changes and teamwork. 

Intermediate Technique
12-15

Our older intermediate dancers can start to mix and match their favorite style or try new ones! Our recreational classes are open to dancers of all experience so don't be intimidated to jump right in - even at the Intermediate level! Styles include: Pre-pointe/Pointe, Contemporary, Jazz, Ballet, Acro, Cheer Dance and Hip Hop. We encourage all of our dancers to take either a Jazz or Ballet class if they are taking Acro or Hip Hop as the fundamental technique learned in Jazz and Ballet will benefit their education.
